Dress Code information: Students are to remain in BHS Dress Code at all times. The Medical, Fire, and Criminal Justice uniforms allow a student to always be in dress code compliance. It is required for students to be in uniform as of Sept.8, 2014.
Uniform options:
Medical Academy students may wear... Scrub bottoms with either the General Academies T-shirt (sold in the Medical Academy and the main office) or the scrub top. The only color allowed for scrubs is "Bartow Blue" other Royal Blue. These are available at any Walmart, Uniform Connection (Lakeland) and/or Garretts (Winter Haven) These are also available in multiple on-line retailers. Shoes should be all (or mostly) one color, usually white or black, They must be closed shoes such as tennis shoes or a nursing shoe.
Another option is Navy BDU's (combat style pants) with the approved polo shirt. Black tennis shoes in underclassmen classes may be worn with the BDU pants. Students participating in Ride Time or Clinical visits must comply with the required foot wear for these assignments.
Criminal Justice Academy: Students will wear the Navy BDU and the approved polo shirt. Shoes must be the black combat/police boot.
Fire Academy: Students must wear the Navy BDU pant with the approved polo. Students must also have the black, combat style boot.
Fridays are "Spirit days". Students are allowed to wear non uniform clothing as long as it still complies with BHS Dress Code. It is intended for students to enjoy the spirit of being a Bartow Student and participate in after school activities such as sports and club activities.
Dress for Success Wednesdays: Students are encouraged to wear PROFESSIONAL dress. Boys may wear nice khaki styled or dress pants, a button down shirt and tie. Girls may wear a business style skirt or slacks (Must be at the knee or lower), a professional blouse with sleeves, which does not show any cleavage, midriffs or have any sheer, see through or only lace as a covering.
